The Petrohué River offers great fun for everyone. At Nómada Chile we give you a choice between rafting y packraft on less challenging sections for families with young children and more complex adventures for those seeking adrenaline.
It is a must-do activity during your visit to Los Lagos region.

RAFTING
It is by far our most requested adventure… Feel the excitement of the rapids and the majesty of the Petrohué River. Ideal activity for a group of friends, couples, families and all adventurers who want to spend a day of adrenaline surrounded by nature.
DETAILS
Hours: 11AM and 4PM
Duration: 1 hr on the river – 3 hr in total
Requisitos: We accept children older than 12 years old. Participants must know how to swim and must notify us of any recent health problems or injuries before attending the activity.
Difficulty of the rapids: Class III – IV
What you need: Swimsuit, towel and personal medications if necessary (eg asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc.)
We provide: TTransportation, complete technical equipment, certified guides, snack at the end of the activity and free GoPro footage of the activity.

PACKRAFT
Venture down the Petrohué river in your small, versatile and light inflatable boat that allows you to navigate the river alone. The instructor will teach you how to paddle, basic techniques, and guide you through a fun and safe descent on this half-day activity.

FAMILY FLOATING
Wonderful adventure for families with young children. This relaxing tour includes: paddling and floating down the less challenging section of the river with exciting games and stops at the beaches to swim and enjoy a snack in the open air.

Our base is located in Ensenada, 30 minutes away from Puerto Varas. This rural town is the gateway to Chilean Patagonia. Small, beautiful and unique, surrounded by volcanoes, native forests, besides being home to the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park . Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park and part of the Lake Llanquihue Circuit.

Immersed in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, the Petrohue River is internationally known for its crystal clear and turbulent waters. It is born in Todos Los Santos Lake and runs freely to later flow into the Reloncaví Estuary towards the Pacific Ocean. In it, adventure tourism activities such as rafting and packraft, kayaking, hydrospeed and fly fishing stand out.

I’m Deborah Fuentes, Chilean adventure tourism guide. After 10 years chasing summers and working in different rivers around the world, the dream of Nómada Chile emerged with the idea of showing the pristine nature of southern Chile through fluvial experiences, transmitting enthusiasm, passion for rivers and for the nature; all this with respect, safely and away from mass tourism.
Thanks to the experience acquired throughout these intense years of exploration, Nómada Chile was born today in the Los Lagos Region.
